Annie Youngblood (she/her), MPH, is a third year PhD student in Social Epidemiology. She began her academic trajectory earning a BA in Justice and Peace studies, and a BS in Environmental Science in 2018 from the University of St Thomas in St Paul. Annie studied global health in northern Uganda during undergrad, which kick started a career asking questions about health equity and social and political determinants of health. Annie completed her Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology at the University of Minnesota in 2022. She is a predoctoral fellow on the REACH (Research on Eating and Activity for Community Health) training grant in the department of Epidemiology and Community health. Grounded in the belief that secure housing is foundational to health, Annie’s research focuses on housing stability, public housing assistance, and racial segregation.
