My medical interests and career direction are: I have enjoyed everything about pediatrics throughout medical school and remain open to many career possibilities! On my geeky side, I do have a specific interest in digital health and how technology interfaces with pediatric care.
My hobbies are: Anything and everything outdoors! My spouse and I love backpacking, camping, gardening, trail running, and the Minnesota lake life! We also enjoy board game nights and working our way through cook books.
My favorite activity in the Twin Cities is: We have been living in Colorado for the past 4 years so we are so excited to be back in the Twin Cities to go biking/running around Lake of the Isles during the warm months as well as cross country skiing and ice fishing in the winter!
Why did you choose the UofM Peds Residency Program? The University of Minnesota has always been considered "home" for me. I grew up in Minnesota and was exposed to the Universities culture and emphasis on exceptional education all throughout my young career. When thinking about residency programs to attend, the UofM was top of mind because of care and warmth I felt from the current residents, faculty, and administration. Additionally, I witnessed firsthand how patient-centered-care was not something that was simply said, but something that was practiced in every decision.
What's something that you're #umnpedsproud of? I am proud of my personal growth and development throughout medical school that has deepened my desire to advocate for children and families. A career in pediatrics, no doubt, will be a challenging and fulfilling career and I could not be more proud to have chosen it as my path.
