My medical interests and career direction are: Unknown! As of now I am not interested in any particular specialty, but I do enjoy the hospital setting, and I know for sure that I would like to incorporate aspects of public health and advocacy into my career.
My hobbies are: Hiking (preferably somewhere with a little more elevation than Minnesota, but I'll take outdoors anytime), traveling (see prior comment about elevation - but really I love going anywhere), trying new restaurants or breweries in Minneapolis when I feel like I have both time AND money (aka too rarely), and hanging with my significant other, friends, and family including my little brothers (ages 11, 13, and 24) and their new puppy (age 1ish?).
My favorite activity in the Twin Cities is: I can't think of anything too exciting right now, so I'll go with taking a nice run or walk by the Mississippi River.
Why did you choose the UofM Peds Residency Program? I am part of the EPAC program and so chose the program early on, but have only gotten more excited about it over the past 2 years! I am most excited to be joining a group of residents that seem so genuinely supportive of each other in and out of the clinical environment.
What's something that you're #umnpedsproud of? I am #umnpedsproud that my new intern colleagues (who also doubled as my supervising residents during my last 2 rotations of medical school, immediately after orientation this summer) were already so incredible to work with!
Any additional information you'd like to share about yourself? Some other former and/or future hobbies (which could take some encouragement from others) include reading, visiting farmers markets, cooking, meditating, practicing Spanish, and biking around Mpls exploring new places :)
