Hometown: Arden Hills, MN
Medical School: Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center
My medical interests and career direction are: Not 100% certain, but so far I really enjoy the NICU, PICU, and ED.
My hobbies are: Number one is hiking in the mountains, which is obviously less attainable in MN but makes for a good adventure elsewhere. I also enjoy game nights with friends, trying new restaurants and breweries, a good book, traveling, and an occasional rec sports league.
My favorite activity in the Twin Cities is: Having so many options for activities! There is a great variety of restaurant options, many lakes to swim or boat in, and beautiful trails around downtown to bike or walk.
Why did you choose the UofM Peds Residency Program? I grew up in the Twin Cities and knew that I absolutely loved the area! I was also intrigued by the multi-site program. But most importantly, of all the resident social nights that I attended, the people in this program were ones that I felt I would enjoy hanging out with at events and on long work shifts. Through orientation and the first couple weeks of rotations, that impression has definitely held true - the people are fantastic!
What's something that you're #umnpedsproud of? How welcoming and kind everyone has been, I was anticipating it from my co-residents but that has been true through every level of faculty and staff!
